That, is why I agree with this:

Physicals are the damage dealers in Guild Wars. Only Necros can compete with them and they require physicals and teamwork to do so (well, OoU-MMs depend on minions).
Add SY to that and physicals can both eat enemies alive and keep their team from being instantly destroyed.
Although I'm not sure, but I would not be surprised if an Imbagon has an easier time than an Assassin or Warrior. My overall playtime on physicals is quite low in comparison to my playtime on casters (or just my Necro).

I personally have a Paragon as a main and a Nec as a highly evolved secondary char. I am quite good at both classes. my Sin is used less often but thats just personal choice.
Does an imbagon have a fairly easy time of it? well i have to say yes, the team just refuses to die in most situation, again there are areas where this isnt the case but as a general rule, paragons have an easy time.
Saying that... my necro walks through most areas with just as much ease, again this is mainly area dependant, in some places it does struggle.
I think that both classes have there strengths, but with smart hero choices the inherent weaknesses in both classes can be for the most part overcome, its a fairly level playing field out therein the sub optimal world of H/H.

after a night to sleep on that, it's probably right. But can you argue that it's impossible for a necro to set up his hero with enough physical to make his curses worthwhile while keeping enough support in his team? And is choosing the second or third most powerful class so dramatic that it's worth proposing to reroll.
Traversc, if you ask me your first post had 2 things that started the flame. Faction is faster, that's a fact, but to advice someone returning to the game to rerol to save a week (irl) of play-time. But maybe that's just me.
And you sounded as if assassin were the only good class. They're probably the easiest to h/h but... from there rerolling.

Why would you think that? Imbagons can't pump the DPS like sins can and they also have trouble with block. There damage is actually quite pitiful. From my experience, I'd classify imbagon as weaker than necros for overall H/H play.

I was thinking of their defensive capabilities. Being a midliner, they can easily fuel SY and have TNTF.
Although yes, offensively they are weaker.

Well, after reading the extremely colorful responses in here, I've learned not to use Assassin jokes at the dinner table!
Although, the issue of Factions vs Prophecies, I actually kind of like the idea that it will take longer. I much prefer long than short in a game. I played WoW for almost two years and when you can get to the level cap and well into endgame in a week or so of grinding it gets so very mundane. The appeal that brought me back into GW was someone mentioning that it can take a very long time to do all of the story and such. I wanted to start with Prophecies as it was the first story.
To address the Assassin issue, I can't argue that it is or isn't powerful as I am very new. To be honest I don't even know what Shadow Form does. I didn't choose Necromancer for power level at all, though. I just have a blast playing the class itself.

Well said OP. That last sentence is exactly why I play a necro. Keep at it, you'll have plenty of fun with it.
@Everyone: Give the OP a break with all the over-analyzing of skills, classes and damage. Someone actually wants to play GW. What a concept.
